Our online app allows customers to easily manage their courier, cargo, and brokerage services in one convenient place. Users who regularly send packages or freight can sign up as a Courier Member “Member” to schedule shipments, upload invoices, and track deliveries. Clients requiring import processing and customs clearance can register as a Brokerage Client “Client” to submit documentation and monitor their clearance status. Once registered, users can securely log in anytime to manage shipments, view updates, and access their service history.

Base Courier Rates

  • 20 pounds & under @ $1.25 per pound ($12 minimum charge)
  • Over 20 pounds @ $1.55 per pound

Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of Terms

By engaging the services of Brix Logistics Services, the customer agrees to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all shipments, deliveries, and logistics services provided by the company.

Description of Services

Brix Logistics provides courier and logistics services including but not limited to:

  • Local courier and document delivery
  • Small cargo transportation
  • Freight forwarding
  • Procurement assistance
  • Customs document processing
  • Package consolidation
  • Family Island shipment forwarding

Services may involve third-party carriers, airlines, or shipping providers where necessary.

Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

Provide accurate shipment information, including description, value, and contents.

Ensure that packages are properly packaged and labeled for transportation.

Provide valid contact information for delivery.

Comply with all customs and import/export regulations where applicable.

Pay all applicable fees, duties, and taxes associated with shipments.

The company is not responsible for delays or penalties resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

Prohibited Items

The company reserves the right to refuse transport of prohibited items including but not limited to:

  • Illegal goods
  • Firearms or weapons
  • Explosives or hazardous materials
  • Perishable items without proper packaging
  • Cash or negotiable instruments
  • Any item prohibited by law or airline/shipping regulations

If such items are discovered, the shipment may be refused, confiscated, or reported to the relevant authorities.

Customs and Duties

For international shipments or imports:

  • Customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and regulatory fees.
  • Customs clearance may require additional documentation from the customer.
  • The company acts as a facilitator or customs broker where applicable, but customs authorities maintain final authority regarding clearance.

Delays caused by customs processing are outside the control of the company.

Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times are guidelines only and are not guaranteed unless otherwise stated in writing.

Delivery delays may occur due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Airline or carrier delays
  • Customs inspections
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Incomplete customer documentation

The company shall not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control.

Liability for Loss or Damage

While Brix Logistics takes reasonable care in handling shipments, liability for loss or damage is limited to:

  • The lesser of the declared value or a maximum of $100 per shipment, unless additional insurance has been purchased.

The company is not liable for:

  • Improper packaging by the customer
  • Fragile items not declared
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Delays resulting in business losses

Claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery or expected delivery date.

Storage and Unclaimed Packages

Packages not collected or delivered within 30 days may be subject to:

  • Storage fees
  • Return shipping fees
  • Disposal if the package remains unclaimed

The company will attempt to contact the customer prior to any action taken.

Payment Terms

All services must be paid according to the company’s pricing schedule.

Charges may include:

  • Courier service fees
  • Freight forwarding charges
  • Customs brokerage fees
  • Document Processing Fee
  • Duties and taxes
  • Storage fees (if applicable)

The company reserves the right to hold shipments until outstanding balances are paid.

Refusal of Service

The company reserves the right to refuse or cancel service for shipments that:

  • Violate these terms
  • Pose safety risks
  • Contain prohibited items
  • Are improperly packaged

Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall Brix Logistics be liable for:

  • Loss of profits
  • Business interruption
  • Consequential damages
  • Delays caused by third-party carriers or government authorities

Amendments

Brix Logistics reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on the company’s website or service platform.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
